Antwerp is centrally-located in Europe and easy to reach. You can get there by train, plane, bus or car.
The easiest way to get to Antwerp – and in fact immediately adjacent to the Centre - is by train. National and international trains, such as the Thalys, stop at Antwerp Central Station, one of the most beautiful train stations in the world, and both the FMCC (where the AIPC Conference takes place) and the two conference hotels are located next to the Antwerp Central Station at the Queen Astrid Square.
For delegates arriving by air the most convenient way to travel to Antwerp is to fly to Amsterdam or Brussels and then take the train connecting with your flight. In the case of Brussels and Amsterdam, the train station is located right in the airport – it’s as easy as taking transport from the airport into the cities themselves!
For those arriving via Paris or Frankfurt, there is again a direct European high speed train to Brussels with connecting train to Antwerp.
High speed train stations are located within following airports:
• From Brussels Airport - Zaventem: direct train every 30 minutes (journey takes 30 minutes)
• From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport - direct train every 15 minutes (journey takes 54 minutes by Thalys and 90 minutes by intercity train).
• From Paris Charles de Gaulle: - high-speed train with one change in Brussels – total travel time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
